The cooling effect lasted way longer than I expected on our last hike, even in the afternoon sun. My dog actually seemed to enjoy wearing it, and the soak-and-tie design made it super easy to refresh at a stream crossing. Summit selfie approved.
Soaked it for maybe a minute before our last hike and my pup actually stopped panting halfway up the switchbacks. The fabric stays wet for a solid couple hours, which made the summit selfie way more comfortable for her.
